The best pharmacies in Los Angelas may be located in some of the city’s most beautiful neighborhoods, but they’re still not everywhere.
So we turned to our pharmacy expert and former pharmacy sales rep for the Los Angeles area to find out what’s the best and most reliable way to get your pharmacy fix.
“One of the biggest things you want to know is where are the most popular locations,” said Dr. Elizabeth Paredes, a former pharmacist at Kaiser Permanente in Los Feliz.
“The reason why is because it’s really about what the customer wants.”
Pareds says it’s important to know where you are in your community.
“We don’t want to be just the first to have a pharmacy in the community,” she said.
“We want to get it there.
We want to take the customers where they want to go, not where they don’t have access to.”
Here are five ways to find your favorite Los Angeles pharmacy:Where do you buy your pharmacy?
It all depends on the type of pharmacy you’re looking for.
“If you’re just in town for a day, you’re more likely to go to a location where they have a lot of stock, like an upscale location,” Paredis said.
If you want a more affordable alternative, Paredus recommends looking for a store near the shopping center where you live.
“If you have to go somewhere a lot, or a very fast food place, I would recommend going to the shopping area,” she explained.
“You want to look at the size of the store, the quality of the inventory,” she added.
“I would look at what’s been going on in the area, and what’s happening with the community.”
You’ll find some of Los Angeles’ most popular pharmacy locations in Downtown Los Angeles, Pasadena, and the Central West End.
“I would definitely recommend looking at the smaller shopping areas,” Paringes said.
Pared’s advice for that is to look for a pharmacy with at least 10 beds, as they’ll have the best selection of medications for your needs.
“A good location that you can’t get to for the price is going to be a good location for you,” she continued.
“Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions about what you’re getting.
They’ll give you more information about what they have and what they’re doing,” Pardes added.
If your location is in a residential area, you may want to start by looking for your own pharmacy to start your search.
“You may be able to get a discount if you’re on the hunt for an affordable pharmacy in your area,” Parees said, adding that if you don’t know what you want, they’ll probably have a few places that will help you find one.
“It’s a good idea to go back and look at stores that are in the same areas as your own,” she advised.
“This is just a place where you can shop and find what you need.
I think you want those places that are within walking distance so you don’st have to drive around.”
Where do I go to get my prescription?
There are two major options when it comes to filling your prescriptions.
Pareres recommends checking with your pharmacist first.
“There’s always going to a pharmacy that has the best prices, or there are more places that have the same pharmacy,” she told us.
“A lot of times it’s a mix of both.
It’s really just a matter of preference.”
The two major methods of filling your prescription are fill it yourself and fill it at a local pharmacy.
The first option is free, but it requires a valid prescription, and you’ll likely need to bring your own prescription.
The second option requires a prescription from a doctor, which is a bit more expensive, but does offer a better selection of medication.
If the first option doesn’t suit you, you can always get a prescription filled online, by calling your doctor, or calling your local pharmacy and filling it yourself.
If all else fails, Pares suggests checking with an authorized user who is willing to help you fill your prescription at home.
“There’s a lot that can go wrong when filling a prescription online,” she concluded.
“Especially if you need a prescription that’s out of stock.
It can be really frustrating, especially when you’re a first-time patient.”
How do I get my medicine delivered to my door?
When it comes time to pay your bills, you’ll need to know how to get prescriptions and medication delivered to your door.
“Purchasing from a local store is usually going to cost less,” Pares said.
“The cost is going up for the same price as you can get online, but there are a lot more options to choose from,” Padees added, adding you should also look for delivery options.
“Typically, you need to be
