Pharmacy workers at Target have said they will remain open during a lockdown imposed after the gunman opened fire at the retailer’s campus.
A Target spokesperson told CNN that pharmacy workers will be working in the following hours:Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, according to Target spokesperson Brooke Anderson.
Anderson said Target’s pharmacists are working on a plan to remain open.
“We have been communicating with our employees to ensure that we will be able to meet our commitment to provide a safe environment for customers, our customers and our employees,” Anderson said.
“We are continuing to work with our pharmacy partners to make this work as smoothly as possible.”
Anderson said the pharmacy is currently closed because of the lockdown, and she said the company has no plans to reopen until all the affected pharmacies have been cleared.
The pharmacy has been on lockdown since Saturday.
“Our pharmacy partners are working closely with Target and local authorities to provide us with information and support to ensure the safety of our patients and staff, as well as provide them with the tools they need to care for themselves,” Anderson told CNN.
The shooting left six people dead and 16 others wounded.
